Do you clean brass that’s just been on the bench?

I clean in corn cob to remove lube just before loading, after it has been annealed sized and trimmed

Run a brush through the necks and your solid.
I use a nylon brush in a drill to make life easier.

Cleaning brass only makes them look nice, not really a needed process. I personally clean brass when I know I'm going to need to trim them all.
So I'll de-prime, resize, trim, debur & camphor, then clean to get all the brass shaving.

I tumble mine after sizing as well
Just part of my process. I would say it has to be done.
But I also like shiny stuff

Need to? No. I choose to because it adds no time to my process and I like clean brass in my sizing die and I like the look of bright shiny brass.

I run them through a tumbler to prevent getting crap in my dies too. But it’s not necessary. In my early days of reloading I didn’t always. I don’t need shiny cartridges all the time but I do like the look of them better. The last batches I tested at the range appealed to me seeing the shining brass and bright Barnes bullets. They looked as good or better than factory brass in advertisements.

I never have cleaned brass until yesterday. Swedged 223 cases and used imperial wax on the rcbs swedge tool. I wiped each case as it came off the press but figured I needed to remove any wax that might still be in the primer pocket. Boiled some water and lots of dish soap and hope it works. I don’t own a tumbler.

I stopped washing brass a long time ago. I highly doubt I’ll ever wash brass again.

I quit cleaning brass, just wipe them off and make sure there’s no dirt or anything that would damage my die on them

I tumble before sizing to clean any incidental dirt off cases so i don't accidentally scour up the sizing die and then tumble after sizing to clean the lube off

I’ll full length size then toss them in the corn cob tumbler. I like the looks of clean and polished brass so I’ll let them tumble over night with a little bit of nufinish or nushine… what ever the orange bottle car wax stuff is called. After the tumbling I’ll decap and run an expander mandrel through the neck
