I don't believe in ghost, Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster and other things which have never been proven to exist. Ask me if I believe if there may be life somewhere in the universe and I will say, yes more than likely, but we also just as likely, will never know for absolute certain.

@Ratbeetle i haven’t read though this thread but one quick question. When you had your first experience in your old house. Did you bring any furniture or anything that came from that house before you moved in with you to the new house? Sometimes energy is attached to objects and if you bring those objects with you. You bring that energy with you wherever you go.

Long story short. We bought a house that the owner had died in. For about a year he walked through the house and closed doors etc. Never felt threatened but tried for months to dismiss it but finally we couldn’t anymore. It finally went away when we gave away his old lazy boy recliner. Was a total skeptic before this happened. Now I’m a total believer.

Actually yes. The previous owners left a nice bookcase in our old house. We brought it with us when we moved.

I also have some legit non-crazy friends with interesting stories so I don't know. One of my best friends lived in an old farm house across from his parent's house for a couple summers during college with another guy. They had all kinds of crazy stories of watching objects move, noises where there is no way for anyone else to be making them, doors and windows closing/opening, etc. They just called him Roger (the previous owner of the place) and just went on with their day without much thought.

Not a believer. Seems odd that ghosts are never somebody that died two weeks ago, must be a waiting list to come back to the living and make doors ajar. I wish a ghost would make me a sandwich or wash my car. I know one thing, if the afterlife is wondering around moving peoples' cereal boxes and creaking floorboards to get your kicks, that sucks. But you never know I guess, there are some noncrazy people who claim to see some weird stuff.
My grandmother showed up on my 2nd story balcony the evening after she died. Half a continent away. I was alone and not aware she had passed but knew she was hospitalized. She was standing there and resembled a TV screen image from when I was a kid and TVs had crappy resolution. I blinked my eyes and still there. Looked away and then back and was still there. Then, gone. No other manifestations and has been two decades though I was her favorite grandkid.

When you say that, what does it actually mean? I'm truly curious. Can you name an example of any mechanism of "proof" that can come to individuals that can't be proven for everyone?
native Americans lived here for thousands of years with their spiritual ways and the ways are still valid although many dismiss.
people have fasted for days seeking a vision. Could take many fasting attempts and years for proof to come though.
could work for anyone? I am unsure. I am a 1%er but it worked.
it is the only way I know.
I don’t recruit-convert people just so you know.
everyone finds their own way. It must be done individually IMO.
my 2 cents. dismiss or dive in the choice is up to you.
careful what you wish for.

if you ever see proof best to keep what convinced you to yourself cuz few would believe you and proof is not shareable as far as I know which is not far.

There’s a good chance that the previous owners energy or whatever you want to call it may be attached to the bookcase. If your still having issues and it’s uncomfortable then maybe relocate the bookcase and see if there is any change. FYI I am by no means an expert or do I play one on tv. This is just personal experience. Good luck with whatever you do. Maybe check and see what kind of person the previous owner was. I’m my case the guy was super nice from what the neighbors said and in no way did we feel threatened or scared.

For me personally, I would like to know whether what I believe is really true or not. I don't take pleasure in believing things I don't know or can't know.
Native American exercisd-tested their visions. Takes time.
i would say to read but not sure you would believe what you read.

Mediums or Sensitives. Very few have it.
Wife and I use the term hyper sensitive but just our term for lack of better explanation.
My mother in laws grandmother was a native healer. Not sure if she was a member of a society though but she was buried with Midewiwin rites.
We think it follows the bloodline but no proof of it.

As a native American, I can certainly understand the culture (you weren't expecting that were you?). :)

Testing is a very simple thing to do. And formal, controlled, basic testing has not only not showed any psychic/vision abilities, but it has shown it is non-existent when tested.

I'm also an engineer with a graduate degree from Georgia Tech and 35 years in industry who understands reality based testing. Real world testing that removes bias has rendered every tested claim impotent.

This is not a personal thing regarding others. It's my own personal commitment to leading a reality based life. It is unacceptable to me personally to pretend things are different than they really are.

To be clear, I don't believe believers are stupid. I recognize that people come from many different cultures and belief systems. My experience, background, and study has shown convincing evidence (to me) that there are no demonstrated special powers, ghosts, or any supernatural phenomena supported by actual credible evidence. I would never say it can't exist, but it's clear to me that there is no good evidence for any of it at this time. And every single time it's tested, it fails miserably.

Feelings and emotions are just that. Show me an actual photo of, Bigfoot, an alien space craft or a ghost. Neve happened, never will.
There are definitely photos of alien space craft and the government has stated they possess crafts not of this earth.
