Do Marsupial bino harnesses really mess up the gps and compass?

I know this may be beating a dead horse but I’m going though the dilemma of getting a bino harness for my new Swaro el 10x42. I was set on the marsupial till I heard about the magnet issue messing with compasses and the like. Marsupial says to change the gps to true north on your device but does that really fix it? I know they make a non magnetic version but when emailing them they highly suggested I get the magnetic version. I’m also looking at the AGC Ravus Flex pack as an alternative. Has anyone else recently decided on a non magnetic pack? This will be used mule deer and elk hunting in Colorado while I wear a mystery ranch metcalf.

I been using my marsupial for many years. In fact I own several. All magnetic. I did a bit of testing with it. I found it did effect my old lowrance gps if I got it too close. My last three Iphone compasses were not effected. I never tested it with my old style compass. It doesn't seem to effect my google maps. I never ran any other routing or mapping on my iPhone so cant testify to that.

In regards to using OnX and utilizing the feature of the direction blue arrow while traversing it will affect your bearing. I have 34/35 sleeve and no matter how far out I hold my arms it affects the bearing. I've stayed with my original FHF for that reason. I'm also waiting for Vortex to release their pro pack in ranger green instead of dry earth and I will be going that route eventually.
