I built one in my shop. It's an 8x6 . Not real big but I can hang a couple of elk in it. I used a 12k AC wired in to a Ranco control box. For insulation, I used 2" poly foam panels on the inside and outside.

I built an 8'x8' cold room in my garage. 2X6" construction, with blown in insulation. I installed 2 1 1/2" steel pipes to hang meat, and use a Cool Bot and an air conditioner to keep it at 38-40 degrees any time I need it. I put in a spigot and floor drain for cleaning, and built a corner shelf for storage and cooling loose meat like backstraps. It holds 2 elk easily.

I have been looking for the old style OSB house panels that interlock and 6 " thick. We built one in the late 80'at my old place. I was nice ,you could just disassemble it and put it in storage when not in use. The panels were 8 ft by 8 ft .

Not a cooler but a little quick and cheap wine storage. I double insulated it and built the racks out of two sheets of half inch plywood, it was a lot of ripping that’s the cheapest outdoor slider that Home Depot sells.

I built a 7x6 cooler in the corner of my garage. Plenty of room to hold 5-6 deer or 4 butcher pigs. I use a legit refrigeration cooling system. Been great for the last 10 years.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while. I'd probably just do 4' x 4' out of plywood, 2x4s, insulated panels, and a spare portable a/c I have. I've always wondered if that a/c would make it cool enough.

The thing that's always stopped me is it's usually cold enough to just let them hang in my garage.
