A guy could sew one of these things in one night pretty easy. This one took me about three nights with a lot of seam ripping as what I would do is Tenp stitch and then test it for comfort. It took me three tries to get the shape to where it was super comfortable. I used to have an old commercial tree saddle that just wasn’t comfortable at all and sold it. This one Feels pretty good I think because it’s a custom fit.
I thought abiut adjusrers but dont think i need them.
The main body is that ballistic mesh they use on bulletproof vests, it has 2 way stretch, stitched with 6 runs sanwiched between 2 seatbelt webbing.
I hooked it to my truck to test stitching, pretty easy to make these strong as heck.
I added some thin black neoprene at pinch points.
I sometimes find a remote spots while out and about and thought it would be nice to have a Ultra Light tree setup with me in that event.
This wont take The place of my Lonewolf tree stand but it’s going to be great on the areas where I’m covering a lot of miles and I don’t want to haul 20 pounds around. The saddle itself right now is under 1 pound but will need a bridge and tree tether- another 1-2#. Im still playing with climbing systems. SRT probably won’t work well on fir trees.
I’m probably going to go with the one stick plus aither method and then have a safety rope to repel out if necessary.
I will weigh it all and report back, the goal is all in at 6# or so. Might work,eh?
