I have always wanted to try to do a deer mount, but I have never tried it. It looks like yours is coming along nice.
Would you be willing to share what all you needed and any tips? Would you do it again? I'm debating giving it a try on a whitetail I just shot.I was the same way you should totally give it a shot. Pretty simple with any tools you already have and some mild artistic talent. I could give you or anyone else a full list of what you need. The only taxidermy specific tool I bought which wasn’t totally needed anyway was a $7 skife knife. Otherwise all normal stuff I had around. I’m very happy with how it came out
