DIY chassis

I was going to originally but went a bit deep on the inside and only have around .25 left on the bottom. Just going to bolt a plate to it.
Check out Henderson for a plate. Ive had good luck with their quality and their plates and they are not specific for mlok, so they have a flat bottom that would be perfect for your setup. I'll be following for more man!

As of current, I have a cheapy from amazon coming tomorrow. Buy in the future if I need to replace it I will check them out!

FedEx dropped off my pic to buffer adapter. Looks like drilling and tapping 2 holes I can mount with the pic rail, or take the clamp off the adapter and mount it directly. Not sure I see much benefit to using the picatinny and clamp.

If any of you have some input it would be greatly appreciated

M-lok slots to break up the monotony of a giant block of aluminum. Finally under 2 pounds with more to shave off. Sub 3 lbs will be difficult. Probably going to mill that shape out for more weight and just some contour.
Buffer tube adapter coming next.
Probably done for the week. Going to climb a tree and look for a deer.

After I got the kiddo to sleep and the wife went to bed I went out to the garage and heated up some thermoplastic to play around with. Covered my foam grip prototype to give it a bit more structure. Think during nap time today I may try and sand it smooth. It’s neat stuff

Not much as far as updates. Thinking I need to mount my buffer tube as low as possible on the tail of my chassis so I don’t have to crunch my head down as much to get into the sights.

The plastic on the handle was a good theory but it won’t sand, just melts so back to foam for design work and carbon wrap it.

Also, my deer that had been super consistent on cam blew up 3 days before archery opener (9/28) and have been erratic ever since, bucks are starting to get rutty in east Texas
