I've been practicing ripping with my 365xp, for making a couple stands.

A really cool aspect of logging around here is building helo pads. Hike up a hill, clear a space, and build a wood landing pad for the work bus to land on!

Well, Bighorse just upped the ante, and lived up to his moniker. 880 with a full wrap handle? Jealous. Very nice.

Also like that 'wailing lanyard' (for lack of a better description) on the axe. I have a 1 pound sledge that I put one on. Stick your hand through, twist it up so it can't get away from you, and you have a micro portable 20 ton press if used correctly. A serious pulverizer if used recklessly.

It’s not a chainsaw mill but thought you’d be interested in a larger Alaskan Mill.

They work in a pinch but you sure waste a ton of wood using one of those chainsaw mills.

Im taking down a maple, have a 20-ft “stalk” on it at about 24-26 inches from side to side.

Wish i had a saw mill for that one.

Has anyone ever ripped juniper with a chainsaw? I've been thinking about making some planks and posts for raised beds because juniper lasts forever. My Alaskan mill experience is limited to a few hours working with much softer and straighter woods. I and would appreciate someone with more experience telling me if I'm being reckless or not.
