Ditch my ZCO420 for the NX6 5-30??

I sold my ZCO and ordered a NX6 3-18, 5-30, and 6-36 and essentially broke even (mil pricing). I’ll hunt with the 3-18 and the 5-30 will go in my NRL setup and 6-36 on my heavy PRS setup. I had to send my ZCO in for repairs and had multiple weird zero retention issues during matches. I’ve had to send an ATACR back for repairs for the zero stop not working correctly but never for losing zero. While I don’t have them in hand yet; I’m confident I’ll be much happier with 3 scopes with identical reticles and turrets than one ZCO (although they are a dream to look through).

As others alluded to, for hunting I would also look at the 3-18 over the others although I could get behind the argument of using the bigger scopes to size antler spread/length using the reticle (not condoning using it as a spotter to look at unknown things as some have mentioned).

Same durability?

This is not meant as a sarcastic response, but how does the nightforce glass stack up in comparison to the ZCO? I have to get a scope for an upcoming build and have been eyeing the 527 but if the nightforce is close saving 2k is attractive too

ZCO is very nice to look through, I've had two 5-27's. I've never felt like I got a hit on a target that I wouldn't have with lesser glass though. In fact, I don't think any glass not below say Vortex Viper level will ever cost anyone points in competition or shot opportunity on an animal in most conditions.

Roger. I am debating on sticking with ZCO or doing something like this. I can be in two scopes for the price of one
