Lawn Darts
Jarts. Used to have a couple of sets at the house when I was younger. They were a lot of fun!

You old. LOL. Those have been gone for a long time! At one point replaced with plastic round nosed versions. Not the same though.

From Wikipedia:
"...on December 19, 1988, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission introduced an outright ban on lawn darts in the U.S. In the previous eight years, 6,100 Americans had visited hospital emergency rooms as the result of lawn dart accidents. Of that total, 81% were 15 or younger, and half were 10 or younger.."

I have Cabelas clothing too that is discontinued and better than any other option I have found--a pair of mittens and a synthetic fill puffer with a tough shell that always seems to punch above its weight in warmth. Serious question--does anyone know where all the Cabelas brand clothing used to come from? I assume there was no Cabelas designers inventing it and Cabelas factories making it and it was all rebranded from someone else, but a lot of quality items back in the day.

I thought he meant mergansers and have been wondering this whole time since why if someone was able to get rid of them, they'd want them back....

the yard game makes more sense.....

Altoid sours (grandma always carried them in her purse)
Dolmar combo jugs for saw gas and bar oil.
Pre-emission Yamaha 2 stroke outboards were tough as nails, torquey, and light weight.
Herters decoys
Stihl 044 066 088 and 090 or even 441’s 661’s
The old timers that grew up during the Great Depression telling stories in camp
Rest of the world is still running Yamaha 2 strokes, just not in US and Canada

I still run herter's decoys dad bought in the 70's and I bought in the mid 80's. I wish I would have been gifted my dad's buddy's cork herter's. I don't know who ended up with those. No one in the family hunted. I didn't feel right reaching out to his mom and dad, he wasn't my friend, he was my dad's from childhood.

Ruger 77/22’s in 22lr and 22Mag. Especially if built as well as they were 20+ years

Hoyt alphamax 32. If I could get a brand new one built exactly as they were in 2009 I’d buy one in a second

Given the recent cold weather here in the east, I broke out another piece of old gear and wished they were still available - my almost 30 year old, made in Canada Sorel Dominator pac boots. I haven't worn them in forever but cannot bring myself to get rid of them because they were from the time when Sorel actually made quality products, not the fashion crap they make today. They are absolute misery to hike or walk in, but your feet absolutely, positively will not get cold! A better stand boot has never been created.
