Did something with my grouse fans

Im getting a grouse from this trip mounted as well but ended up with some nice fans and decided to make a shadow box out of them. Going to add a brass dog tag with the state and year as well

Nice, make sure all the flesh is gone. Birds are really bad at attracting beetles. That can spread to other taxidermy

I've got a stack of them on top of my gun safe from my old dog that I cleaned the same as these and haven't had anything mess with them. So hopefully these will be fine as well

Thought it turned out pretty good for a bunch of scrap wood from my jobsite and about an hr of time
