Also got the screwing from IFG in 2016. Bull tag, wolf tag and deer tags purchased. Involved in a car crash in June. Spent 6 weeks in the hospital and 8 months in a wheelchair. Contacted them about a refund in Sept. they said return my tags and they would give me 25% of the face value minus 25.00 fee. And then they were going to re sell the bulltag. I burnt them in my wood stove when I could walk..
Hell yeah. Did you take a picture of the burning tags and send it too them? Should’ve burned $25.00 too- shoenthem just how insulted you were

What? I’m not going to get 100% refund??? That sucks!!! I might call and cancel the deal. Maybe it’ll be good enough to hunt the last few days. I had an arrow break an go in my hand severing a tendon, nerves and leaving carbon pieces everywhere.

This makes me sick. I wonder if a thin Kevlar glove would prevent this. I always flex my arrows after each shot, but that doesn't always do the trick for the small cracks.

How do they determine who deserves it more than the guy you pick? I know I’ve never had to submit any kind resume or anything outlining my experience and any other pertinent data that would influence whether or not I deserve a tag more than the next guy- there’s no place to submit such a thing. Is it just one guy or a committee who decides who “deserves” the tag. Laughing my ass off.

I'm submitting my resume to IDGF next year! Obviously with an envelope full of cash, then getting the extended fam tags too just in case someone needs one we can work out a deal! I deserve it damnit.

So I will not be going to Idaho this year for my Archery hunt. I had a great opportunity to go to New Mexico, unit 4 offered to me that I cannot refuse. So I called Idaho G&F and they said if I found someone that wanted the tag they can purchase it, through them. I am out the money but I would rather see a Rokslider go in my place. If interested message me.
Is your tag still available?

So if you trade in a tag for another tag do you only get a 25% refund??

Depends on what time of the year. This late in the year, yes, only 25%. If you do it earlier in the year it can be 75%.

Now, if you trade a tag for a tag, say, one zone for another zone, that should be a straight trade. But, to get refunded for a tag they have a sliding scale.

Okay cuz I was under the impression you can trade a tag for a tag straight across as long as it’s before the start of the tags season? I was jc because I am thinking about trading in a tag for a land owners tag

Thanks for taking away the chance for another hunter to use your wasted tag, I'm sure that really hurt IDFG's feelings...🤡

Were you able to get a hold of someone on a Saturday or just left a voicemail with your info?

I'm surprised to see so many people against this rule. I think its awesome. I can give the tag to some one I know will hunt hard and do the tag justice and not some random whiner that will probably quit half way through the hunt anyways.
