Will be in Detroit in the very near future are there any stores other than the run of the mill BP, cabelas, etc to shop for items we all use?

REI Ann Arbor and Troy have backpacking gear, Beyond The Ears archery shop in Oxford carries Sitka Gear, Nemo stuff, AGC Bino harnesses, and Crispi boots.

There’s a Sierra Trading post in Novi as well.

Some good shops up north, but they are at least a 2 hour drive from Detroit.

SunRys in Fenton, Mi...have a boot etc store connected to their archery store. Great guys, actual western hunters...so they know what we are looking for.

On the other side of the state, but if you ever find yourself near Grand Rapids be sure to check out Long Range Archery in Holland, MI. This is one of the few stores I've come across that I've actually been impressed with their selection of gear. Turns out it's a family owned company full of hunters and the like, and they make it a point to stock what they themselves would use -- huge selection of Sitka gear, Mystery Ranch packs (Metcalf, Sawtooth, Beartooth and quite a few others), Crispi boots, full bow shop, good selection on new firearms/optics/etc, as well as components for the sporting rifle group (AR BCGs, barrels, handguards, stocks, etc.) none of which is the typical junk you see in the big box stores.
