Guess he didn’t like the responses.

Appears not. He deleted his original post and changed the thread title to “Deleted”.

Came back all hot after not killing a giant buck on a guided hunt, started this thread, didn’t like the responses received from the forum members, deleted his post, and then changed the thread title to “deleted”.

Makes you wonder what the outfitters version of events is. Someone he’d like to have back in camp?
On the contrary and to his credit he has responded several times admitting that his emotions got the better of him and acknowledging that he is at least partly to blame for his high expectations. I don't know why he deleted the original post unless it was to follow the advice of several who advises him to remove it to avoid potential legal issues.

I appreciate that.

Yes if you look back a page or two, legal action has been threatened and now a C&D has been sent to me due to a similar post I made on a different forum where the outfitter in question frequents. Never named him, never named the outfit; he actually outed himself by posting a response. The guy is a total a**hat despite what impressions there may have from me and expressing my frustrations in the way that I did, and the fact he would go this route should make that pretty clear. If he was anywhere but Texas where he can apparently schmooze 70 yo ladies to lease their daddies ranch, he would be SOL. As I told my Dad, there is nothing that makes me seethe with anger more than feeling taken advantage of, and that was where I was at yesterday. Now I just think it's funny this dude thinks he has any legal recourse to come after me other than spend his money and mine. I don't want it to come to that.

The fact is no one on this forum knows me personally, just made judgements based on some emotionally charged but very truthful statements, and that's ok. I never lied or said anything disingenuous. I truly was trying to learn more about my predicament and if there is anything I could do, while also trying to find an outlet to vent where other folks may have had similar experience. A few trolls came along to the party and that is ok, to be expected. It is interesting that I was referred to as having delusions of grandeur, but plenty of posters came in here to troll at my expense of a crappy situation. I have had no less than five people DM me with similar crappy experiences with this very outfitter.

I have the contract and I never named or defamed the outfit, but to let this die I removed the title and initial post. I have moved on with my life, however my Dad does plan to still seek some of our money back. We had a great time, and still a shitty hunt. I can separate the two and so can he. He also feels ripped off. I could go into further detail and post the booking info from the way back internet machine as well as what our contract stated, but going to let this thing die for now.
