Deer Calls for Missouri Whitetail

I have been hunting the firearms portion in Missouri for the last 15 years or so. During that time I have got a decent deer almost every single year. Not once have I used any type of grunt call or anything else. I was wondering if that is the norm or if I am doing myself a disservice by just playing the passive waiting game.

It’s been my experience hunting Missouri in the rut the last several years that bucks are more responsive to calling earlier in season, and less interested as the hoards of people show up. Obviously Plenty of room and deer for that to be different, but I would imagine with a gun, you don’t need to do much calling. Keep it on you though, never know when it might make or break a hunt
