Hey, FNG from north-central Missouri. I've spent some time in my research days looking at old forums and figured it was time to create my own account and actually contribute.
I've been hunting since I was 8 years old in Missouri. I do about everything there is to do in the outdoors here in our wonderful state. I am always hunting everything with a season, trap, fish, forage, you name it, and I will be out in nature at some point in the year participating.
My primary focus is whitetail deer, turkeys and waterfowl. I own a small farm here in NC MO and manage it extensively for the best habitat that I can.
As a kid growing up i dreamed of hunting elk but it wasn't until I got through college and started working that I started to understand what that looked like. So about 8 years ago I started applying for tags all over the west in almost every state. Needless to say I've accumulated some points for elk, deer, antelope, sheep and the other OIL species but have yet to actually be able to go on a hunt of my own. The same year I started applying my wife and I had our first kid then several other unfortunate life circumstances have kept me from being able to go on a hunt so I've just been building points in all these states.
Last year in 2024, a great friend of mine drew the coveted Kaibab mule deer tag and I went down there and am now absolutely hooked. Now I have to find a way to make some hunts of my own happen in the coming years.
I look forward to learning and contributing here and hopefully can start to share some epic stories in the seasons to come.
