So in the market for a muzzleloader. And not sure on which one to get. Here’s the catch my local fleet farm has a traditions pursuit g4 on sale for like 260. I believe it’s the ultralight but I can’t remember now. It’s bare with iron sights but it is drilled and tapped. Or should I spend the money on a cva optima for 290. I do have an extra scope laying around but I’m not sure it could handle the recoil. It’s a centerpoint 4-16. Any input would be appreciated!

Personally Im planning to hunt some different states. So Im looking at a muzzleloaders that fit the requirements of the most restricted states. So what Im saying is, Im looking at some that allow me to make changs easily. Not sure if this helps.

The Optima V2 is a better made rifle. It also has better 3rd party support for things like scope bases and even breech plugs.

Get a Optima in SS and forget that garbage cerakote that does nothing to protect the bore.

Thanks that what I figured. I would be curious as to how the wolf and the traditions would stack against each other

There's another thread on here going about exactly that. Optima is a great rifle- do yourself a favor and get quality mounts and a decent optic to do it justice. Burris makes the 3-9x40 Fullfield line at a very reasonable price point.
