Trying it this way. Tikka prefit, need to know by Dec 12. If 5 people buy in, I will open for orders.

There have been requests for .257 Roberts of some flavor, throated long.

Wish I’d have seen this prior to all my Black Friday purchases. 257 Roberts AI throated long is exactly what I was planning for my next build
I'll do this again in a few months, and I think the 257 AI will be a go then.

Perfect. I’ll definitely be in that time around. Really appreciate what you’re doing with helping all of us out on prices on our prefits. I’ve had good luck with PBB so far.
To the extent anyone puts together a group of five barrels, I will do a group buy at any time.

I just won't do the the thread.

I’m interested in a group buy. I’d like something that could handle the 112gr cx or whatever Barnes is about to come out with in 25cal that requires a 1 in 7.5 twist

I am bringing this back to the top. Is anyone still interested? I talked with @hereinaz about this and if there is enough interest he will make an order.

I think the @cal30_sniper has a nice dummy round worked up here along with possible barrel specs.

Tagging @Mberline @onlybrowning @The Guide to see if you are still interested.
I'm probably going to just stay with my 25CM barrel that I ordered. I already have more barrels than I have actions for right now.

If Peterson would start making X57 family brass that would go a long way in reviving some great cartridges. Tikkas would thrive on a diet of 257bob, 6mm, 6mmAI, 7x57, 224TTH, etc
Lapua is making 8x57, but I haven’t seen it available in component form. My 1943 CZ sporter has been enjoying making brass though.

I agree, there is a whole unserved market of x57 cases that Peterson is missing the boat on. 6mm Remington, .257 Bob, and 757 are all basically SOL on high quality brass (PPU is okay, but just OK), and all of those cartridges attract a high percentage of handloaders with a flare for high-end stuff. It’s a perfect case for loading long slippery bullets in a standard long action, and does really well in its improved form.

What about Nosler Brass quality in those calibers?
