My daughter has drawn three NV junior mule deer tags, but this was her first buck. She has been patient and waited out her last two tags to be successful on a better quality buck. We’ve chased some big bucks with her last couple of tags but never could seal the deal.

She plays high school volleyball so we had very limited time to hunt. We made it to our area around 2:30pm and had planned to hunt the entire weekend. A buddy that was with us ended up spotting this buck about a mile away. We closed in and she made a great shot at 378 yards dropping him in his tracks.

That's a great looking buck! Awesome shooting at 378 yds what rifle was she using? What area of Nevada looks like good hunting and heathy deer.

She shot him with a 6.5-300 Wby Mag. This was in NE Nevada. Lots of healthy deer in that area.
