How are these socks at preventing hot spots and blisters? I came out of the alpine early last summer with my heels looking just like the lathrop ad that runs on this site. I switched to lowas and socks with built in liners and havent had an issue with cheese grading my feet since , but im blowing through socks every 20 miles or so.

Darn Tough socks are the only socks I'll wear anymore.

I sometimes use liners with them but no longer wear silk but have gone to Fox River coolmax liners. My feet sweat a whole lot less and I haven't had blisters in the last 3 years.

I've been using DT socks for a while for hiking in the summer, but not for hunting. I've always used Smartwool and love them, but I did get a couple of pair of DT socks for hunting this year.

The DT socks that I've worn extensively are easily my favorite pair of socks.
