anybody ever try out these boots? I have never had luck with danners but kinda like the looks of these. I have been hunting with meindl denalis the past 8 years or so but they are beyond worn out and in need of something new. will probably go with the meindls again but curious about the danners.

I've had a pair for a little over a year. Love them but...they are leaking. Sending them back to Danner next week. They have held up very well and I really like the style but wet feet suck. And they don't have any insulation.

I picked up the Full Curl boots this year and they worked great. I put 70 miles on them in Colorado in just about every terrain imaginable and they were flawless. I think they were a lot of boot for the money. No leaks on my end, but didn't get in any real sloppy conditions.

I ordered a pair yesterday and will report back as soon as I get some miles on them. I just couldn't resist for $180.00 shipped!

The Full Curl and the Mountain Assaults are based on the same last. For this year Danner has done away with the short/optifade Full Curl and only offers them in a tall (9"), insulated version. I should be getting these Full Curls next week as a replacement from Gore-Tex. Over 120 miles on the Mountain Assaults and they look new, just not waterproof anymore, some defect in there.
