Dall Sheep hunt 2013

The rifle is 308, we only took one and brought a .44 for backup, also stashed a rifle at the strip if chit went sideways, a days walk but better than going home. Every ounce counts.

Our Kuiu and Sitka gear held up really well. :D IIRC my partner is sponsored by Dickies.

Here's a few more pics

I hate to be the first to tell you this... but your camo doesn't match and everyone knows the sheep have 8x eyeballs. Do something about that, and you might have better luck next year. :D Also, you need to take more pictures of your gear. All these dead animal pictures are cluttering up a perfectly good hunting story.

Seriously, your ram looks like a big old dude. Might a long time until you beat that one. But then again, you clearly have the ability to make your own luck so I'm not going to bet against you.

Yk

While hunting in the Brooks this year I saw a large amount of ewes and lambs. I'd never been in that area before, but anecdotal evidence was that there were average numbers of lambs.

Well done guys!! I'm glad this got bumped up as I missed it...great read. You guys sure do get after it for sure!!! I'm sure Mrs. Bambistew will be out there again soon with ya after the year lay off.

Congrats on the nice Rams!

And also on the nice Wyoming hat! (I'm a Wyoming transplant in AK)
