Dall sheep 1 person tent recommendations

First post here and I would appreciate a recs. I'm going on a Dall sheep hunt in AK this Sept and need a good light tent. I was planning to but a Kuiu Summit 1 star but they are sold out of the mesh liners and don't know if or when they will get more in. Maybe I would be fine without it so I'm open to opinions about that as well. I've hunted moose and caribou in AK before but this will be my first real backpacking hunt and definately need to keep the weight down. I already have a lot invested in this hunt so cost isn't really a concern. Thanks,
Summit 1 star with a footprint (no mesh) is what I use for solo August sheep hunts in AK. Weight makes a huge difference solo.

Going guided and possibly a packer as wel? Then weight isn’t as critical. As to weather anything can happen, but the summit has been fine if you pitch it right.

I took the Tarptent Notch Li Dyneema on my dall sheep hunt and was very happy with it. Super light yet durable. Super fast waterproof setup as well. My guides were impressed. I was in my tent in 1/3 the time it took to set theirs up and they had other issues with their Kuiu as well.

How did your sheep hunt turn out?

Jealous! I went on a sheep hunt in the Brooks last fall and it was hands down one of my favorite trips Ive ever been on.

For what it's worth, I used our Rincon 2P Pro in Dyneema with a half insert, which I preferred over a 1P tent because I had more space in wet weather to hang out, cook and store all my gear. If I went on 100 sheep hunts thats the setup I would take again every time as it had the right balance of weight and space.

There are plenty of other options out there and I'm not responding to you to try to get you to buy one of our shelters, but I'd look for something comparable space-wise and look at Dyneema options of money isn't your biggest concern.

Also, if it's at all helpful, DM your email and I'll email you my spreadsheet with my full gear list from my hunt.
Is there a way you could post a Pic of your 2P Dyneema Packed in a sack next to your 2P SilPoly packed in a stuff sack? Just curious how much more SilPoly "packs down" compared to the Dyneema.

Similar to this, I used a MLD duomid (2p pyramid) with 1 person inner on my only fall hunt and it worked well. I like the door location with the MLD orientation as the “vestibule” portion is most exposed to elements. Haven’t kept up with all the new tents, I’m sure the new argali’s are nice!

I took a hilleberg niak as well on my 2023 Alaska dall sheep hunt. My hunt was first 10 days of September.

Tent performed like a champ. Set up easy….great compromise of build quality, weight and room. For a 3 season tent, it survived a night with 8” of snow, and also survived a night with consistent 50Mph winds with gusts up to 80. Would take it on any hunt other than a very late season hunt where I expected significant show.
