My grandpa fought in WW2 and in Korea but I never had a chance to meet him. Last year my wife brought me an old article our local newspaper did on her late grandfather. He and three brothers all fought in WW2 two of his brothers died at Normandy and the other later in the war. He was at Iwo Jima and was injured and had shrapnel in his chest for 65 years until it finally killed him. The article about his family and his life brought me to tears three times in a two page article. My brother is deploying again on the 21st with the second ranger regiment. It hurts me to NOT have served. What these men went through and go through today for all of us is the true definition of courage.
