I love my CZ 527 rifles. I have one iin 223 and 7.62 and they have been great deer killers. But since they no longer make them I've been looking at the 557 or 600 but I am not sure. I don't know why they quit making the 527 but curious if anybody's had any experience with the 557 or 600? I appreciate any insight.

There are a couple of threads on this.

My son shoots a 600 Alpha in .308 and it's fantastic in every way.

Wouldn't change a thing.

I shoot a 600 Range in 6CM and it doesn't like feeding long bullets but still puts them on target.

I appreciate it. I have a Mossberg 6 CM but would like to upgrade rifles. I'm not disappointed with it, but I've appreciated my 527s and thinking another CZ might be in order.

I have a CZ557 Ranger in 308 Win and a CZ600 Alpha in 7.62x39. The 557 seems to be a much better built gun. Good luck finding one. They are discontinued too. The Alphas, while having some quirky, but useful features (safety and magazine lock mechanism) just seem to be built cheaper. The plastic stock on the Alpha is definitely sub-par when compared to the wood stock on the 557. The 557 is a much heavier rifle, but it is also a bigger cartridge.
