I’m looking to get into waterfowl, Turkey, and small game hunting to supplement the times that I can’t hunt. I am looking for a 12 gauge, budget conscious, that I can use for all 3, and I keep coming to the CZ 612 magnum waterfowl. Does anyone have any experience with this gun good bad or otherwise?

Never heard of or seen a 612, which isn't really a good thing typically.

Of the very cheap options, I'd look at used benelli nova/super nova or one of the mossberg options. I don't know if they're actually better than that cz, but parts are way more available. Maybe an old 870 wingmaster if you can find a good deal, personally I don't like the 870 express I'd skip that.

CZ makes great stuff. Next 612 is onenof the most popular pump shotguns sold in the US. The gun will be reliable. It is just that shotguns to shoot truly great need to fit you. You need to throw one up to see if it is right for you.

If I was getting a pump, it would be a Benelli Supernova. I’ve held the CZ 1012 and 712 and the pointed well and seemed well made but I have no experience with one in the field.

No experience with the 612 but I do own a CZ 1012 All Terrain. Shoulder & points well for me. I’ve probably got a few hundred rounds through it with no real problems. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another CZ.

I ended up going with a weatherby tungsten element, the gun just fits me too well to pass up

I have a CZ612 Trap model and it has been an extremely good gun. Shoots incredibly well and is easy to clean. I'd buy another one tomorrow if I ruined the one I have.
