I have been thinking about modifying the cz 600 Alpha to make the forend less flexible. Right now, it is very noodly and can easily touch the barrel with horizontal or vertical pressure. There's no way I would use a bipod and even sling tension might be an issue. It shoots lights out off a bag if you place the bag closer to the magazine area.

I know the usual solution is to fill the forend with bedding compound, but that seems like it would add more weight than I'd like. The stxk has several horizontal ribs, and I have thought about epoxying some carbon from an arrow shaft in between them. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this or has other solutions for adding rigidity to a polymer stock?

The carbon arrow inserts don't seem to add much rigidity by themselves.
If epoxy/bedding compound is mixed heavily (50/50 by volume or more) with chopped carbon fiber, that reduces weight and increases rigidity.
The other way I've done it is to turn it into a CF tube. Remove a generous amount of plastic from the barrel channel and basically turn it into a shell, leaving only the outside portion of the forend. Fill the shell with Loctite Tite foam. Then apply 2-3 layers of CF fabric/epoxy (1 layer at a time) to turn it into a CF tube, with some kind of dowel to form the new barrel channel. That stiffens them up as much as anything.
