CVA Scout 300 Blackout Suppressed Sub Sonic for Deer?

Now there’s a decent sample size!

Where are you shooting the pigs? Trapped or on the loose? Any chest shots, and how did the recovery go?

Also very cool little rifle…er, pistol!
I’m in deep east Texas and hunt mostly cow pastures , but also do a lot of hunting in people’s yards up close to houses . Subsonic 300blk shines here , the landowner hates the pigs but also hates getting woke up at 2am with what sounds like a war zone in his backyard .
Depends on the situation. if a pig is right in somebody’s yard I tend to do a vital shot so it runs off a little ways before it dies . They usually only run 30-75 yards .however , I have seen even large boars drop with high shoulder shots using discreet ballistics .

I have a kimber 84 in 300blk. Running a scythe ti can on it. I plan on using it this year for close range whitetail in a very thick area back on the family farm. Been reviewing ballistic gel test videos with various subsonic loads. Have yet to decide which one i want to run.

Ttt I’m going to try it this year with some solid copper expanding ammo like Lehigh defense or makers thinking a cva scout or Rossi lwc with a folding stock and 16 inches of barrel with my silencer is going to be a rather small very very quiet and hopefully very deadly inside of 80 yards. Should only have like 3 inches of drop at 80 yards fixed prism sight. Am I missing anything? There’s no reason this should t be a great idea for tight woods right?

I’ve killed one with the 200 gr. Maker Rex bullet in my CVA Scout 300 Blackout. She ran about 30 yards and piled up. Just stay away from the shoulder. I didn’t realize the angle and the bullet hit the opposite shoulder and I didn’t get a pass through at 32 yards. I’ll aim for the neck next time. I included my group at 50 yards IMG_2741.jpegIMG_2749.jpegIMG_8323.jpegIMG_8516.jpegIMG_8491.jpeg
