CVA recall on ALL Paramount series muzzleloaders

This is a bit confusing to me.

Reason for Recall
An unsafe condition may occur if a Paramount is improperly loaded, including but not limited to:

  • Double loading
  • Use of incorrect or incompatible powder
  • Improper loading, cleaning or storage procedures
  • Presence of obstruction

These conditions may create an increased risk of failure, serious injury, or death to the user or bystanders during the initial or subsequent firings.

Ahhhh, Duh! Of course double loading, using incorrect powders, improper loading, and obstructions will cause unsafe conditions in a muzzleloader. Welcome to every muzzleloader ever. What else is going on here?

There’s got to be some type of issue with degradation of the breech or barrel. Everything else is a duhh. The “improper cleaning or improper storage” bit is a bit odd. You can’t really have a critical safety issue from improper cleaning or storage of the gun; it might make you lose accuracy over time (bad cleaning practices), or superficial finish issues (bad cleaning or storage). But the gun is still going to function safely if you load it properly after doing those aforementioned things.
