How is the blow back? Would love to see the flame channel on the plug to see how it’s holding up! Awesome looking so far.
I honestly haven't noticed any blow back the seal of the vera flame has operated as designed. It has 45 shots down the barrel so far. I shot it at the range for 30 shots yesterday without cleaning anything and it functioned properly everytime. Here's some pictures let me know if you'd like to see something different.

It is a pretty simple but tedious process to get every prepped for another range day.
Punch out spent primers using the provided tools and small hammer.

Wieght the powder out to exactly 105gr

Need to have plenty of the larger powder tubes. The larger charges won't fit in the 120gr tubes.

Reprime the veriflame modules and I'm ready to go.

Here's a picture kinda showing how easy the powerbelt elr fit with the muzzle break

Remember to always add a compressed loaded mark on your ramrod so there's never any doubt what's in the barrel.

Random picture of just how full the funnel with a 105gr charge.

The blackhorn often needs a few taps with the powder tube to get it flowing down the funnel so be careful not to spill it while tapping. I have spilt it couple times rushing and loosing some powder will change where the bullet hits.

The Paramount is really a blast to shoot, if anyone gets the opportunity jump on it. Been raising a few eyebrows at the range when I'm shooting steel at 500 yards. It's pretty awesome to have random people come over to check it out; ask if they want to shoot it, dial it up for 300 yards and watch the look on thier face after they make a solid hit out at distance with a MUZZLE LOADER.

Bad news i got laid off--Good news more time for shooting.

Wanted to get a few pictures of groups posted up. Here's a 5 shot group @200 yards 4mph breeze at 8 clock. Shot on the left was shot #1. I did fire a primer off before loading since it was a clean bore but looks to maybe influenced the impact. I'll shoot clean bore again and compare and report back. These targets are one inch squares so no doubt it'll keep them in the vitals.

Moved out to 300 yards wind picked up to 7mp.

Here's the group Come up 5.7 moa
de343eb4b08d2af770b5b22c0f92bea2.jpg

I spilled some powder while tapping the funnel on the shot that's low off the paper. "Group" looks like possibly wind drift or more likely I'm jerking the trigger.

The Paramount Pro has a TriggerTech Primary trigger so adjustments couldn't be any more simple.

Just insert the 5/64 allen wrench and turn counter clock wise.

When I had the rifle upside down adjusting the trigger, I noticed that the action screws had worked themselves loose a bit after about 70 shots*** ( 105gr is .3 oz so approximately 3+ 150 weight loads to an oz. That adds up to almost two entire 10oz cans of Blackhorn209 powder shot prior to anything moving)***. Here's a short clip highlighting what happened --> HERE.

It was extremely simple to tighten the two action screws back up with a 5/32 allen wrench and then get back to shooting.

I would recommend that everyone stripped their new Paramount down and degrease everything as shipped well lubed (as seen in the picture below) from BPI then torque back to factory spec's. I guessed at 45 inch pounds since I didn't see it written in the manual.
@BPI_Outdoors what is the official torque spec for the action screws?

***This next step isn't necessary for anyone. Everyone should take a second and scroll back though and see just how well the Paramount Pro shot straight out of the box. Even when the screws were loose it was punching them on the paper at 300!!***

Having just recently found myself with a bunch of extra time and really needed a project to take my mind off my work situation. I decided while I had the rifle apart for degreasing anyways I would go all in and bed the recoil lug.

The Paramount Pro is built on a Remington 700 SA foot print. I did a quick measurement of the recoil lug and the stock inlet.

My "precision" measuring device showed an approximate 2mm variance. The stock is bedded with 5/16 pillars but the action screws are 1/4. That is just a mere 1.5mm of tolerance barely enough to account for any action movement even if the screws loosened up.

Since I had all the supplies on hand it was time to pull out the shoe polish, plumbers putty, painters tape and devcon steel epoxy.

I removed the double sling studs and installed a Salmon River Solutions picatinny/arca swiss rail.

This is an awesome accessory allowing me to attach a bipod and/or attach the Paramount to my VA-5 tripod head. Where I deer hunt is a lot of sage brush country that can be a challenge to find a spot to get prone and still see, the arca swiss rail allows supported shooting sitting or standing to solve that.

Sam I can’t quite see what’s wrong with the rail in that last picture?

Also, if you hadn’t have tightened up the tolerances in the stock, would the re-tightening of the action screws have put it back to specs? Or was it a necessary fix?Knowing you it was just the way to optimize the rifle which is a good thing, but I’m wondering for the average guy that might experience this (Although the average guys not gonna shoot 70 rounds through his muzzleloader)

Good points Robby I'll go back and edit to clarify.

I did just tighten the action back up when it was loose and then continued to shoot. Some to remember is that- it came straight out od the box and had almost 2 entire cans of blackhorn shot out of it prior to anything loosening. Everyone should take note that it was still punching them in there at 300 yards even while the screws were not torqued to spec. When I got home I originally only took it apart to degrease the the action threads and bolts to ensure they did not rattle loose again which is all it really needed.

Pictinny rail picture was just showing how it rubbed a little of the finish off where the scope sat in the rail. It was just a reminder to torque the rail and rings to manufacter spec's. I can see how it's confusing since the optic system has preformed perfectly. I'll edit that post and leave the picture here for future reference.

Here's a bit of the shooting i did this morning. Only had ten ELR bullets left in my shooting bag so it was a pretty short session.

OK Sam that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. Looks like a great shooting rifle. When does your season open?

No one that sees this Paramount shoot can believe you can get this much accuracy from an off the shelf muzzleloader.
Season opens on the 23rd. Can't wait to see what you turn up on your hunt Good luck.
