A few days ago went to the range to do some serious shooting at various ranges with open sights on my Knight DISC Extreme. To make a long story short…the bolt eats primers and I need to send it to Knight to get worked on. Problem is that is my only Muzzie that I need for an Elk hunt next week. I need to come up with a Muzzle-loader for Elk like now. I was willing to buy any quality gun with iron sights but after driving two hundred miles (after calling) to all kinds of shops and stores…none to be found! I was able to find a new Optima V3 with Williams fiber optic sights on-line and had it shipped overnight. Got it this morning. Along with the rifle I bought a 209 BP and some power belts. A nice gun, actually I like the feel and the weight as the barrel is fluted. HOWEVER there is no way those sights that came installed on the gun can work with that stock! With the lowest cheek riser, the front post is still about an inch ABOVE the rear sight. Obviously, the stock is designed to use a Pic Rail. EABCO makes an aperture rear sight for the CVA factory front sight but this is a Williams fiber optic front sight so I have no clue if it would work. I hunt next week so time is running out.
