CVA Muzzleloader Models

I'm not worried about durability as much as finding a way to keep it handy for a reload in the field
When you see the replacement cost of $80 you might get a bit more concerned. When I got my Accura I thought I'd pick up a spare ramrod. I got sticker shock after learning the price.

Hey Muzzleloading experts, I’m looking to get a new muzzleloader next hunting season and have been looking at CVAs. My father has a CVA Acura and we both really really like it, but I was just curious about the different CVA models, as they all seem very similar, but have very large price differences.

Can someone with CVA Muzzleloading experience explain the differences between the Wolf, Optima, and Acura? Thanks!

I’m aiming to have a gun with a with a 1x red dot or peep sight, and to shoot no more than 200 yards.
UPDATE: I just got a CVA wolf with a Leupold RDS off of the classifieds and shot it for the first time this afternoon; shot it with 100 grains of pyrodex and a 250 grain Hornady SST and it shot great. Got it dialed at 100yards and was able to shoot a 3.5” 6 round group which is plenty accurate for my uses. I’m very happy with my Wolf so far. I’m going to try it with some Triple 7 and see how it does. Thanks for all the help! The wolf is awesome and I have 0 complaints!

Wolfs are good rifles for the money. For my intended max range of 150yds but more like 100yds the wolf is a great rifle. I don’t see any reason to upgrade.
