Who would you recommend: Phantom, Catfish, GAS, A3, Threadz or someone else?

Have used several sets from Catfish on my Switchback over the years. Just put a set on my V3X too.

I've been using ABB strings for the past 5 years, compound and traditional. I have no reason to switch. Just ordered another set for a new bow that should be coming in the next few weeks.

Anyone using 452x that us reputable.

I wouldn't get sold on proprietary blends. BCY 452x laid up properly is the best I have currently seen.

I love the set of Threadz that I currently have on my bow. I don't think you can go wrong with the more well-known companies you have on your list though.

Catfish in X99 if you have a week+, I just prefer x99 slightly over vec99/bloodline.

Fast turnaround, Threadz - I think he only uses 452x. Buts it’s done well.

Park-n-sons strings if he’s accepting orders. High Voltage, John’s Custom Archery.

I’m sure most of the others all make good strings as well.

I like Johns Custom Archery.

Had a set from JBK before that was also good but the last 2 sets from John have been good and as of a few months ago his prices were a bit better too.

I’ve had gas on a number of bows as have several folks I shoot with regularly. Almost any brand will have an occasional hiccup, and Gas is no exception. That said, in the couple cases where there was an issue they stood behind it 100% and made it right. I have them on all 3 of my current bows and have no reason to change.

Other names mention here are good too.

Use a reputable name, preferably one your local shop has a good relationship with so if anything happens you have some support.

JBk bowstrings best I’ve used and I’ve used all of these and 99% of the time I get them the same week I order them most times in like 4-5 days

I’ve used catfish before. Very nice

Last set was from archery shack. I believe there’s a coupon code floating around AT. You will NOT find a better deal. They make a very nice set of strings too.

Another vote for JBK - Jeff knows Bow Strings.

I have been using Catfish. The lengths are almost spot on when they arrive and I've not had any issues with them. They settle quickly and then hold really well. I mostly prefer x99, although vec99 is fabulous for not getting fuzzy for a long time.

I bought a used bow a year ago with a set of Threadz on it (I've also read he only uses 452X). It had been shot enough that the nock point was wore down and I struggled to find good nock fit, so I'd say a lot of arrows had been shot out of that set. It was not fuzzy at all and bow specs were spot on, so I reserved the center serving. It is still going strong and all bow specs are still on. Great set of strings.
