Anyone taking on custom sewing projects? Rugged Stitching isn’t sewing currently.

Have a pretty easy sew job to cut a side pocket on my K4, sew in another piece of cordura, and add Velcro so my rifle will fit in the side pocket like it did on the K3.

Blue: Cut line (width of pleat)
Yellow: Hem the cut line (probably not called hem!)
Thick Yellow: Bar tack
Purple: New Cordura flap sewn in along top above cut line
Red: Velcro on side pocket and new cordura to keep debris out when not carrying rifle.

Contact Rugged Thread in Bend Oregon.

Excellent work and they do heavy duty gear repair all the time.

Call and ask for an email and see if they understand what you are talking about.

If I can help let me know.

Suggestion: I found a local woman who makes beautiful saddles and other tack. She also does repair work for leather and canvas items. She has done some stitching work for me and it is excellent quality and toughness. You might look around locally.

No suggestions for stitching, but maybe one for design. You may want to ensure that the velcro LOOPS are on the open flap. If the HOOKS are on the flap, it appears more likely it may rub off stock finish/paint.
