I posted a thread In January of 2022 as I started on a custom rifle build, including making my own stock using black walnut wood I harvested several years ago. I finally finished the rifle and am happy with the results, to say the least. The major components besides the stock are a Defiance anTi action, Bartlein #3 contour barrel, chambered and cerakoted by Alamo Precision Arms, Defiance BDL style bottom metal, Triggertech Special trigger, Limbsaver recoil pad, Montana sling, and Leica PRS 5-25x56i scope with Talley rings. I finished the stock with Tru Oil and had it checkered by Tim Smith-Lyon at Classic Checkering in a pattern similar to a Winchester model 70 Super Grade. Early shooting results are positive, first 4 shots included a bore sight shot and a 1” 3 shot group during final scope adjustment.
