Already on it.
Benchmarkwhat barrel brand did you go with?
You bet!Got it figured out. Looks to be that there is a very slight taper to Leupold Mark 5... at least within their tolerance that caused this difference in fit. Thanks to @HawkinsPrecision for the help!

Doest lee just check head space and screw on the barrel and tighten the lug lolGive Lee a call at Oregon Mountain Rifle. Great guy and super knowledgeable
What did the weight come in at bare?I just did a 300 WM custom build for elk and mule deer at Altus which was an awesome experience (thanks Josh!). 24” proof barrel, defiance anti action and proof stock, only had it to the range twice so far but it’s incredibly consistent, 1/2 MOA or better. Came in under well $4k. Highly recommend Altus

Nice!5# 10 oz with LB gen 2 brake
You subtract the diameter of one bullet when you measure that way.New to the precision shooting world.. if I’m getting .5in spread on my caliper and I’m shooting 6.5 (.264) does this mean I’m shooting a 1/4min group?
I have the V3, and also a Wiser Precision mount for it. It allows me to get the speed data I need, but also I can still shoot for accuracy as it isn't attached to the barrel. Generally when is shoot strings, I just leave it on there to see what my loads are doing. Thanks for the info @BRTreedogs. Anyone know if it’s worth getting Magneto Speed V3 vs Sporter. I have a break under 3” and barrel diameter is under 1”. As far as I can see the V3 won’t do much more for me than the sporter?
What is this mount of which you speak? I love my magneto but would be nice to shoot groups at same time.I have the V3, and also a Wiser Precision mount for it. 406Smith linked the Wiser one I have. I got the one with the Arca and picatinny rail. I just leave the Chrono setup on the Wiser mount, and disconnect the box from the bayonet. What is this mount of which you speak? I love my magneto but would be nice to shoot groups at same time.
