Sweet. Actually love to see the S2. Its bigger but many say potentially the best 80mm spotter.

I might be able to assist depending on when. I'm on the front range when not traveling, and I have a set of Meopta Meostar B1.1 HD 12x50's I can get out of storage with some coordination.

Awesome I’m sure folks would love to see how another set of 12x stack up.

We are making a weather call tomorrow night for a Saturday meet.

Backup will be this Sunday or next Saturday based on weather and folks availability.

@Jeaves1 just fyi on this thread since you’re new and in the area may be of interest.

I’d be interested in joining this. Any plans to bring in an NL Pure 10x42? I have an ATC I could bring.

Would love to join in if possible. I have B2 9x45 and could probably get a CS1 from a friend to use.
@Kyle Wheeler i was just looking at that maven spotter. Would be sweet to compare if you can get it from your buddy and are available. Didn’t realize they were only 40oz. Would be an in between the minis and the 65s and I think they are close spec’d to the athlon and cabelas branded.

Were you interested in both a 30-60 and 20-70 for your comprisons, or do you think you’re good to go with the 30-60?
It’s one of the few scopes I’ve never looked through. Personally I’m excited just to see how good it is. A few years ago there were some threads comparing the Kowa 88 to it and it was pretty split….which is impressive because many say the Kowa 88 is best in the biz. The s2 is a bit cheaper and with the 70x eyepiece offers a bit more zoom over the competition.

Honestly “comparing” it to what we have coming won’t be too fair. It’s a 85 class alpha spotter (IMO). It “ should” smoke all the 65 and 55 we have. Im thinking it will have advantage over the Kowa 77 too.

Can somebody forward me the PM?

If the weather is too sucky for super long range viewing and the number of people is reasonable, we could go to gun club and spot shots.

Anyone know how to add folks to a PM that’s already started??
