Crosswinds effect on drop and drift.

Has anyone noticed with the hornady app that a cross wind from right to left will effect the drop differently than a crossing left to right.? I have used other ballistic apps and don't remember seeing the difference. Has anyone confirmed the Hornady drops with varying crosswinds?

As a spinning bullet is contacted on the side by a “wall” of blowing air it will either climb up, or climb down the wall depending on the direction of spin. Most barrels are right hand twist, so climb up air from the right.

Basic apps ignore a lot of things that effect the bullet.

The tailwind is at 0 mph so it's the base drop. And although the wind drift is minimal at 400 between RL and LR the elevation is what surprised me the most especially at extended ranges.
At 600 the drop with no wind is 10.7 moa, 11.42 with LR and 9.97 with LR. That is 9" of elevation drop between the 2 wind difference.

Look again... You are comparing tailwind to crosswind

OP- check your inputs or put it into a different calculator

Need to know what said different calculator takes into account. You can turn Aerodynamic jump and spin drift on and off in some and get different results.

Yeah, I have used 4dof quite a bit and have always noticed that it over accounts quite a bit, especially at closer range. Maybe bad inputs on my part, but AB usually gives me better solutions.
