I like my bacon like I like my women:

Shriveled, and hard at the edges but tender in the middle, and salty...

Wait ... Let me rethink that ...
Reminds me of my wife's uncle who used to say: I like my coffee strong and my women weak.

He split the uprights for the Greatest Generation and true self made man, my guess is he'd not give two kraps if he was cancelled because he said that. RIP Dana.

I prefer my bacon so crispy that it basically disintegrates as I bite into it. The really light airy crispy texture like a properly fried tortilla chip or double fried french fries.

Freeze dried ice cream...thats the texture I'm thinking.

I know the texture you’re describing. My air fryer does 6 pieces perfectly to this in 9 minutes

I would rather have chewy than burnt. Crispy is good but not burnt! There's a "chef" at the only breakfast joint where I used to live and still visit that burns the bacon. The waitress asked if I wanted the bacon and I said I would prefer " not burnt." Second try came out the exact same. Guess HE likes it crispy!

PS: my woman turned me onto the pre-cooked bacon. I love it but miss having a jar of grease around. Anyone use pre-cooked? Certainly less splatter and easy.

Not the precooked. But have gone to cooking it in the microwave. Comes out perfect, doesn't want to cup and curl. And cook with paper towels so not much for cleanup

I take the pre cooked bacon from costco into the backcountry with me. Not the same but pretty good.

My wife precooks bacon and sausage for me and vacuum seals them before my hunting trips. It sure saves some time and both are just as good.

Growing up my grandma floured her bacon before frying. It’s still my favorite way to eat it. The outside gets crispy and the inside melts in your mouth. Grease also doesn’t pop when cooking it either.
