Crispi up 1/2 size?

Does everyone order crispi boots a half size bigger to accommodate for a thick sock during the winter months ?

I did a lot of search bar looking for an answer and I mostly see they are “true to size”. Just curious if people go up a half size for sock thickness and downhill . Maybe the toe box is already big enough?

thanks

( sorry for all the questions, the nearest store that sells crispi is like 12 hours from here so need to order )

I wear a 9 in tennis shoes and got a 9 in Nevadas. I wear a sock liner with thick wool socks with no issues. YMMV

Same here. I wear 11.5 in everything. Crispi Hunters in 11.5 were perfect, even with thick darn tough hunting sock.

I just got a pair of Wyoming s. I feel they run big or are either sized to wear with thicker socks. I got a 9 and that’s what I pretty much wear in most shoes. If anything they are leaning to too big vs too small.
I kept them since I felt 8.5s would be to tight and have been pleased.

Own the Wyoming and Thor’s. My feet are 12 or 13 wide depending on the foot wear.

Crispi 12.5 wide did not work. 13 does. I run mine with a green super foot and a heavy hiker sock.

I just got a pair of the Idaho GTX boots. They are definitely bigger (overall more volume) than most other boots I'v tried. I definitely would not advise sizing up based on my experience.

Interesting. I just ordered a pair of Colorado in 9.5. Shoes I wear a 9, but boots is always a 9.5. Hope they work.

I’m one of the few that goes up a half size in Crispi. All my boots are US 12 with the exception of all of my Crispi - 12.5.

I order them true to size and there is plenty room for a sock liner and thicker sock.

I ordered a pair of uninsulated Nevadas in my normal size 11 and they fit snug but ok. The problem was my big toe was dangerously close to the front when I would walk down the stairs or any moderate incline. I exchanged them for a 11.5 and that seems to be about perfect. I noticed that all of my other boots in size 11 are size 45 Euro. The Crispis in size 11 are 44.5 Euro. I don't know if that is the difference but their 11s were a tiny bit smaller on my feet.

I added a pair of Superfeet Trailblazer inserts and they feel great so far. Our feet are as different as our fingerprints!

That is my experience and opinion based on my *very* limited experience with my new Hunter GTX. For limited comparison I also ordered the same size Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 and the Kenetrek felt smaller in the toe box, narrower overall, and had a smaller heel cup. Not too small such that they would be bad in any way - heck if I didn't compare them to the Crispi I'd likely say they fit fine. In the end I chose the Crispi - slightly roomier felt better.

*** Edit ***
I ordered based off of the measurement from a Brannock Device and following Crispi/Kenetrek instructions.

Not crispi, but I tried sizing up 1/2 to have an uninsulated boot wearable with thick socks on colder fringe month days and my feet were miserable when not wearing thick socks.

I recently bought the Crispi Valdres in a 10 wide, just like my Kenetrek Mountain Extreme NI boots. Hands down, the Kenetreks fit me way better. Definitely not impressed with the Crispis, so far.
