If you have been waiting to try out the new Crispi Summit GTX boots, the wait is over and we have them in stock from size 8-12.5 US over at BlackOvis.com

These boots are incredibly comfortable and lightweight, plus they feature GORE-TEX lining and Vibram soles with a shock absorbing midsole. They also utilize a rubber rand to help protect the boot and your feet from rocks/roots. They also have a 1 year warranty that covers manufacture defects. Order online or call in at 801-559-7556 and we will be happy to help you out. These are the boots that Gritty (Brian Call) has been wearing and talks about in his Gritty Bowmen podcasts.

I don't think we will be doing a group buy but we will be getting a new Rokslide discount code set up and posted shortly. In the meantime we can apply a discount over the phone at 801-559-7556.

Besides the Idaho does Crispi make an uninsulated boot in a tall version? If not, do you know if there are plans to make one? I would like to see an uninsulated guide or hunter or wild rock. Ankle problems and uninsulated tall boots are an issue. Only options I see are the Tibet in tall or Hanwag Tetra Top...not a fan of the asthetics or makeup of the Idaho.

Currently we don't offer another uninsulated taller boot but I agree with you in that we should. I will definitely be suggesting this to our Crispi rep because I personally love the Idaho but would also like to have a full leather, taller boot that is uninsulated as well.

My Idaho boots have been great to me and aren't showing any signs of letting up after 200 plus "HARD" miles in various terrain wet/dry. They are definitely a different looking boot with the lace supports and Cordura to lighten the boot.

Obviously the full leather boot in the same height/class of boot would be heavier as a side effect. We are always open to suggestions like this on what people would like to see/wear so we can continue to offer the best boots out there.

You can now use code Rokslide10 at BlackOvis.com at checkout to receive 10% off these boots and other great gear! (Excludes optics or items in the On Sale category)

How do the crispis hold up to wet weather? I had a pair of Lowa tibets GTX that leaked on me after only a few days of rain in Washington this year.

The discount is nice. But...but...what about us non-leprechaun, non-elfin types with size 13 and bigger feet?

We are trying to figure out how many of the larger size boots to order, there is definitely more demand for 13 and 14 than we originally thought we would have. In the future we will try to order more of them to correct this. Right now we can get the Crispi Hunter, Wyoming, Valdres, and Summit boots in a size 13 D or standard width within 1 day from our distributor. We can also get Wyoming, Idaho, and the Valdres in a 14 D in the same time frame. Let me know if any of those interest you and feel free to call if you have any questions - 801-559-7556

They hold up to wet weather very well, obviously the full leather boots (Hunter, Guide, Nevada, Wild Rock, and Valdres) are going to be better options for extremely wet conditions. I have been using the Idaho myself and have tried purposely all year to get them as wet as possible. I have yet to have a single leak walking down shallow creeks, wet snow, soaking vegetation, they just won't leak. I need to treat mine now as the leather and Cordura will become saturated but it never gets through the GORE TEX.

What kind of availability and time frame for the gunboat sizes in wide? Mom and dad didn't bind the feet of this ballerina. I'm not in a time crunch. I will be in the market for a new boot for this next year. It appears that my current preferred boot has been discontinued.

We can get a 13 EE (wide) in any of the Crispi boots with the exception of the Summit at the moment. If you need a bigger size I would suggest calling Crispi US directly to see if they can get them for you. 844-855-7545

+1 for BlackOvis.

Can you please tell me what are main differences in the guides, hunters and wild rocks besides height.

The Guide and Hunter boots are basically the same except for the taller height of the Hunter. The Wild Rock is entirely different. It features a Full Grain leather upper, different Vibram Sole with Super-Grip mixture, and is insulated with 400 grams of Primaloft rather than the 200 gram equivalent Gore product in the other insulated boots. Crispi rates these down to -20 F depending on activity level.
