I know they’ve just been released but curious if anyone has had a chance to run these? Curious
On fit with the extra insulation. On a side note if these were uninsulated they would probably be my go to to replace the Lapponia due to that beefier outsole.

I'm looking at them hard... It's between either these or the Wild Rock GTX. I think I personally would benefit from the light boot for my hunting style.

I just got mine today.
I'm known for being particular about boot fit and I was impressed with these the moment I put them on. I normally wear a size 12 EE so that's what I ordered and they fit EXACTLY as I hoped they would with my everyday, thin, wool sock on. They feel good in the heel and no rubbing on the toes anywhere. Ankle support seems good but I've only worn them on flat ground so far. I'll get them out in the hills in the next day or two and see how they do.

I just sold my wild rocks and ordered the shimeks. I was able to try on a buddy's shimeks to get a feel for them. I recently got the altitudes also and they are very very comfortable. The Shimek was even better. I think i'm going to like them for my insulated boot choice for midwest whitetail hunting with the lower overall height and lighter flex.

Awesome thank you for the insight!

I found that these boots seem to run about 1/2 size big from what I am used to. I just returned these boots for a size exchange. Otherwise, they seem awesome!

Question for anybody with the Lapponia II GTX and, also possibly, the Shimeks. I wear a size 10 in my lapponias, and they fit perfectly...will the insulation matter in size for the Shimeks?

Does anyone have any reports yet on how these boots are in cold weather whitetail hunting?

I've only had them to about 30dF, wearing a poly liner sock and a pair of Hollow alpaca sock. No issues so far. Obviously, don't have them laced too tight on stand, and gaiters would help increase temp rating too.

I haven't worn them in extreme cold yet but sat in a tree all day at 30 degrees and my feet were warm all day with only a thin wool sock on, My feet are normally always cold while hunting but these seem to be a good job. The traction is excellent and the support seems ok as well. I dipped my toes in the Meremac River a couple times yesterday and crossed a couple small creeks and my feet stayed dry.
Very happy with these boots.
