Anybody try both of these boots? Seem to be equivalent boots.
I'm currently running the Hanwag's and like them a lot. So far they've been the best boots I've tried.
The Hanwag's do seem to make my feet a little sore after a solid day of hiking, but not sure any stiff boot with good ankle support won't????

Anyone care to comment if you've tried both? I know everyone's feet are different, but the Crispi's get really good reviews and I'm tempted. My Hanwag's likely have another season left so I'm not in a rush. Just looking at some options for next fall.

Thanks!

All I can add is I got a pair of the Guides to try and as soon as I took them out of the box I knew they weren't stiff enough for me. I could grab the toe and fold it back to the laces pretty easy. I ended up with Tibets as a comparison and they are way stiffer. Ended up sending the Tibets back when the rand cracked and now I want to try the Hanwag Alaskas.

Good to know!
The Hanwag Alaskans are awesome. Just curious how the others compare. A lot of hype with crispi lately. I'll likely get another pair of hanwags.

What's your thoughts on the stiffness of the Alaskan? Any comparison to Tibets?

Ive not compared them on a trail, but in the store the stiffness felt about the same btw the HW Alaskas and the Lowa tibets. There is something about the HW's that felt really quality. Idk, there was just something that felt "old worldly" about the hanwags- like when crusty old guys say " they don't make xyz like that anymore." they are still manufactured for quick re-soling everything is just done really nicely on them, I was told that people can expect decades of service, not years ( could be bs ) out of the HW's with proper care.

I just overwhelmingly got that feeling, maybe you have experienced it. You know when you close the door on a really nice car and you think to yourself " damn, this is a nice car" lol that's how they feel to me.

The Germans make some nice shit!
