Our local bowshop just got a shipment of the Lapponia IIs in so I got to check them out...super light and stiff. Looks like they would be very supportive under a heavy load.
I was on the alert list at Blackovis and got an email at about 10:00 PM last week and bought a pair, next day all sold out.
Worn them two days now, I have the Wyoming and schnees bear tooth as my main hunting boots. The Wyoming felt a little clunky spot and stalk hunting so I manly use them hiking with the dogs, training and working on my small farm. The bear tooth to me has perfect flex and support but they are heavy and warm so I don’t like them for early archery season.
The lappinia 2 seems perfect on flex so far I hope they don’t soften up much. Very light and terrific heal hold no hot spots yet. I hiked a few miles and worked in my shop for 5 hours each day with them and wore them sun up to sun down. Only complaint is they could use a little more cushion and I already put in super feet insoles.
I’ll see how they do over the next few weeks and report and good and bad.
