Beating the dead horse once again. Black Ovis has them on sale for 20% off. Are these boots as great as I read and view on YouTube or is this a case of brilliant marketing? I’m about to pull the trigger on insulted nevada’s. However, I just want to make sure the quality is what they’re promoted to be. Thanks

Customer service was awesome when I had a issues with old model of Wyomings. Sent me a new pair and updated pair. Have their wild rocks and they have become my favorite boots. Probably 50+ miles on wild rocks and a few hundred on the Wyomings. Both have been comfy out of the box and no blisters or sore feet. I plan on getting guides sometime next year. I'll keep running them.

I'm a believer based on my little experience. Have been an Asolo hiking fan for years and bought the Wild Rocks a year ago. Have about 200 hiking/hunting miles on them and they are everything they advertise. Solid, warm, dry, comfy out of box. I'll buy more and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Crispi's have fit MY feet better than any other boot and took next to nothing to break them in. I've had Meindl, Zamberlan, Lowa, Kennetrek and prefer the Crispi's. I have the uninsulated Nevada's, and will be getting another pair of Cripsi's soon.

I just bought the insulated Nevada's too because of the 20% off. They should get here in a couple days.

I've been using Lowa Tibet wide the last 2 years and while overall they are a great pair of boots, they are not wide enough for my feet. I did some research and will try the Nevada in a wide.

Is the discount for the insulated ones or non-insulated? Looks like they're about the same price as I see everywhere else.

Just bought a pair of Nevada's non insulated. Was wearing a old pair of Zamberlan that were great for CO lots of miles. The Nevada's are little higher boot but very conferrable in the house. Fit great. Tried on a pair of kennetrek just very stiff like my old zamberlans. 1st pair of Cristpi's I will find out how they do in the mountains soon. Thanks for the heads up on BlackOrvis 20% coupon. Order on Weds night here on Sat morning.

Man, wish I had the same customer experience everyone else has had. My Nevada's didn't even last 6 months and was told there was nothing they could do. They went straight to the trash.

Yeah, I've looked at the Wild Rocks as well. I haven't yet decided between them, or an uninsulated boot paired up with boot blankets. As much as I dislike the idea of adding one more item to the pack, it seems to be the better option than hoping for the best with lighter insulation levels than I'm used to.

I've got Idahos, Nevada insulated, Guide insulated and Wild Rocks. All have been "broken in" comfortable FOR ME, right out of the box. YMMV as the way boots fit is a very personal thing. My favorites are probably the Idaho's (lightest and super comfortable) and they're good even in "somewhat" cold temps as long as you are moving. The Nevada's and Guides are essentially the same boot other than the guide is taller. I just got the guides as my son absconded with my Nevada's. These have been my "go to" boots for most things. Not terribly hot even in warm temps, and keep you warm in most temps with the exception of very cold. When it gets real cold I wear the Wild Rocks. Even though they're quite a warm boot they are very easy to hike in and are comfortable. When I stand hunt and it's super cold I either wear pacs or the Wild Rocks with boot blankets.

And I've had no quality issues or failures with Crispi boots. They are high quality and hold together well. And I've bought a lot of items from Black Ovis and have experienced stellar customer service. If you buy boots from them make sure to wear them around the house to ensure proper fit/comfort. If you do that they'll exchange or refund no problem. They won't however do the same if you wear them outside and dirty them up.

I've been using the Summits early season and for general hiking and they have been awesome. Definitely going to be picking up some guides and/or wildrocks for later in the season.

Just about to pull the trigger on the wild rocks.... just how warm are they in the summer hiking around scouting season?
Are they too warm.... I mean I’ve rucked Danners for like 5 years for duty boots with 400 grams of gtx and they get a little warm but no big deal.....as long as I got the right socks on

Wore my Idaho's for over an hour today trudging through water over ankle deep in the rain just to see if they would 'wet out' and they performed great! First pair of Crispis and becoming a believer!!

I have the valdres and crossover both pairs are really nice. I have some Solomon shoes with Climashield that my feet sweat in really bad but the Crispi boots both breath way better and keep my feet much cooler! I might try some insulated crispi boots next.
