Crispi boots worth the money?

My feet hate my Crispi boots. Worst money I have spent on boots.

Same here with Kennetrek. That's why there are so many different makes and models I guess.

What part of those insoles make you feel like they are a well thought part of the boot? Lol.

What shoe company in general do you know that makes amazing insoles that match the quality of the shoe? Do some work? Sure some are OK. But no one makes the insole a well thought out part of the entire design of the shoe.

I hear you. My only issue is they are an extremely thin strip of felt. Any insole you purchase will be at least twice the thickness if not more. So if you buy a pair of boots with a good fit, once you add an insole they may be too tight (what happened to me). If I had known that going in, it would have not been that bad. But when you have an almost brand new ~$400 pair of boots that are too tight with comfortable insoles and and extremely uncomfortable with the stock insoles you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Unfortunately, those stock insoles feel fine in store and walking over easy terrain. 2 miles in on the trail is when you first notice it (2 miles too late to return them)

Do any boots/shoes actually come with a good insole??? The manufacturers just throw those shitty ones in boots because they “break in” quickly. I looked last night at my crispis, zamberlan’s, Lowas and scarpas. None of them had a factory insole any better than another, they are all thin, flimsy and wear out quickly. The crispi was no worse than any other insole.

Again, you’re missing the point. I’m not defending anything. Let me explain this in detail for you:
They put a crappy insole in their quality boots because they know that the majority of buyers will replace them with higher quality insoles of their choosing immediately after buying them. No sense in spending money on something that will get tossed out right away anyway. They save money in the manufacturing therefore a larger bottom line. This is a fairly common practice.
And again, my Nevada’s are awesome! Even after I replaced the insoles.
