Crazy Week In Alberta

A group of us went hunting black bear in northing Alberta from May 16-23 and it was crazy. A couple days before getting into camp, our friend that lives up there shot a 20 7/16" bear. Then, night one yielded a super high 19" bear and a low 20" bear. Night two we struck out. Night three an absolute monster was shot going deep into the 20". Night four I shot a low 20" bear.

After that we just relaxed, cooked food, sat stands just to see what was there and had some beers. What an amazing week.

Cool. I hunted with a friend from Calgary who hunter hosted me back in September 2018. We hunted up near peace river. Beautiful country side. Plenty of bears too.

Hahahaha we did give him a hard time that he was slacking.
It was actually his first ever bow kill.
He was so pumped, we all are.

What style of hunting was it? Was it amongst farmland or natural bush or baiting, spot and stalk?

The scale of the broadacre cropping there was a real eye opener.

We had baits setup on fringe farm land against bush
