Crazy Used ATV Prices-Is This Regional or Everywhere?

Yeah I scoured 500 miles over the last 2 weeks and $1300 would get you a non running one around here.

Lots of 15 year old machine sitting around 5k that look clapped out. Guys that want MSRP for their 5 year old machine.

Edit: Just checked WV marketplace. Not sure whats going on out here but might as well drive my truck to WV and pick one up.

I do that kind of thing a lot as I have family all over. Used stuff where I'm at is not even worth trying to sell or buy because you've got to deal with the people. Like I just threw away about 2k worth of woodworking tools because my sanity wouldn't have taken it. Everyone asks 3X what its worth and wants to negotiate to nothing and have you deliver it. Or no shows when you buy something.

My favorite. When we bought our house the guy left an old lawnmower. I didn't want it and I got it running right thinking I'd sell it for $100 as that'd be a good deal for someone. I drug my feet and wanted it out ASAP so I put it up for $20. First email was a guy trying to negotiate me down to $10. I just replied back FU. I got a reply back that they really needed a mower and would be willing to pay the full price. I ignored it. Second person I set up a time with: I heard a noise outside 30 minutes early, came outside and I caught them loading it into their new Audi SUV trying to steal it. Didn't knock or anything and tried to claim they must have paid my wife who was just there. In my driveway at my house while my wife was at work. Nice lady... The last time I put anything up I gave away a no joke garbage sack of high end camo saying it'd be good for a teenager. I gained weight and this is all my older stuff. I made the lady set the time to meet and she was over an hour late. I got a hold of her like I'm not waiting forever and she came by all mad I was rushing her.

So yes. If you live in one of those places, just travel to a sane place.
