Yes. I like less recoil so went with the 6.5 creed will have no problem to 500 further. But your two options are good to.Would any Rem 700 long action pic rail fit the Sauer 100?

The 270 is not threaded if it matters to you. I only shoot suppressed so it does to me.Or the 270. Still deciding between those two.
Purpose will be whitetail out to 500.

Thanks for your review!Having owned Tikkas (T3/T3x), Mauser (M12) and now the Sauer 100, the Sauer is a mixed bag. It has a better magazine based on being able to top load and hold more rounds. However, the trigger is good/OK but doesn't come close to the Tikka or M12. There is some perceptible creep in the Sauer 100 trigger and mine came with a plastic trigger shoe. Out of the box was 4 lbs. It was turned down to 2.75 lbs. The M12 trigger shoe is metal abd came out of the box at 2 lbs. Load development with the S100 leads me to the opinion that it's not as accurate as the Tikka. Most groups with various loads are ~1 MOA. Tuned loads turn in ~.5-.75 MOA groups. Field stripping the bolt on the S100 is the easy and tooless.
After purchasing it, there is somewhat buyers remorse. It's an OK rifle for the money but if I had to do over, I'd spend the extra on a Tikka for those that asked.
Recently got a Sauer and had the same thought too... mine isn't as dramatic as yours but definitely more plum colored than I imagined. Wiped it down with Ballistol which helped. Also - mine is a 2021 (NOS) any reason I should be concerned with the age/it sitting?View attachment 1000993
Brown tinted barrel is the new Sauer 100 next to my Ruger 10/22. Am I tripping?
Under a flashlight it is exaggerated.
