Coyote or Wolf?

Those who are saying coyote as the 2nd. Do any of you live where you regularly see coyotes and wolves? It checks every box I have for wolf and I see a lot of them on cameras. Interested in why you think coyote.

You know what, good call.
I went through the video again, and I’m definitely seeing more of a wolf face and ears.

On the second freeze frame, the proportions for the ears are too small relative to the rest of the face for a coyote.

I don’t even live in an area with wolves, but I can tell you the first set is coyotes and the second set is 100% a wolf

Wolves have been well established in northern MN for decades. They didn't bother us, but that doesn't mean they won't bother you. Good luck.

I am told that our coyotes (northern NY, northern Vt, northern Nh, etc as well as great lakes area) are all hybrid coyote/wolves and have been for a while. I would think this could make it harder to differentiate, especially for someone more used to western coyotes?

Curious as to why you think you have to be more cautious because a wolf is around. What are you fearful of.
